A candidate was dropped from the Binibining Pilipinas (Miss Philippines) beauty pageant a week before the coronation night because of a previous job that organizers deemed indecent.

The Binibining Pilipinas Charities Inc. (BPCI) said 22-year-old Andrea Dimalanta was disqualified "for her nondisclosure of her former employment in an adult entertainment lounge and a photo of her in her ‘working clothes’."

BPCI representatives who met Wednesday evening with the fourth runner-up in the 2006 Miss Mandaluyong contest reportedly told her she engaged in "indecent work" after a background check found that she had been a waitress in a sports bar.

But Dimalanta said what the BPCI did "was foul and they don’t have any legal basis to drop me from the list." She was not among the candidates presented to the media at the Sofitel Philippine Plaza on Thursday.

In a phone interview, Dimalanta said: "“They asked me if I was familiar with Toyz 4 D Boyz Lounge and Café. They said they found out I worked there as a GRO [guest relations officer], I danced there and I went out with customers. They also told me they had four witnesses who were willing to give affidavits.”

Come what may.Goodness.

binibinis who have "indescent" job before are disqualified. the binibinis represent the women of the philippines. sorry nalang jud niya. dali ra na matrace sa organization.

Kung a week before the coronation night na sya gi disqualify, meaning nakalusot sya sa screening?

ha?naunsa na bya ni sila.mao na gyud ang pilipinas murag gaduladula na lng.wa  na gatan-aw sa reputasyon sa tibook pilipinas ang apektado.

Nagwonder gani pud ko, nganong nakadaug mana si San Miguel nga wala mantoy ayo ang iyang tubag oi. Unsa man diay basehan ana? Mas worst pa diay ang uban nga contestants?

dili man worst ang ubang girls. tigwatch ko sa bb. pilipinas live sa araneta for the past years karun nga year lang wala.... the girls are witty jud. when they speak, maminaw judm ka nila kay ang ilang sulti naay unod jud then kay guwapa they can hold your attention.

san miguel should not be..pero she passed the preliminary screenings. in fairness, she's beautiful.
