Over 2O households in Sitio Kan Sadug in Barangay Sto. Rosario of Inabanga town now enjoy more potable water from a reservoir, courtesy of the Philippines-Australia Community Assistance Program (PACAP) implemented by Municipio Inabanga and the Feed the Children Philippines (FTCP).

Mayor Jose Jono Jumamoy and Vice Governor Julius Caesar Herrera led the inaugural and turnover rites of the 3,793-gallon capacity reservoir and the pipes.

PACAP of the Australian Agency for Development (AusAID) provided P200,000 for the convergence project while the municipal government shelled out P50,000 as well as technical assistance. The barangay government contributed P30,000 while the people’s organization provided the labor in the laying out of pipes system. The sitio folk also maintain the waterworks system for its maintenance.

Sto. Rosario is the 3rd project of PRO Water and Sanitation (PROWatSan) in Inabanga. The first two are the two island barangays of Cuaming and Hambungan.

Mayor Jose Jono Jumamoy reminded the beneficiaries to take care of the project for its sustainability.

“Craft policies to properly maintain and sustain the project. In this way the next generations can still enjoy the abundance of potable water.” he said.

Meanwhile, Herrera said, “Problems start at home in every barangay”. People should be aware of and take part in what is happening around them.

He then encouraged the barangay folk to plant more trees. This will to maintain the good water source.

Cristie Leonor represented the Feed the Children, Engr. Rosavilla Villamor of the Municipal Planning Development Center and Engr. Nila Gatab of Minicipal Engineering Office attended the event. - Sunday Post

John 3:16-18 ESV
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son (Jesus Christ), that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.
