The newly-elected Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) officials of all 50 barangays of Inabanga recently underwent the Integrated SK Organizational, Leadership (ISKOLAR) and Re-Orientation Program and Basic Orientation Seminar (BOS).
The two-day training and advocacy program held at the Inabanga Cultural Center aimed at equipping the participants with knowledge of their duties and functions based on Republic Act No. 7160 or the Local Government Code of 1991.
It intended to imbue leadership skills and righteous leadership on the participants, facilitate the formation of the SK's strategic direction or plan of activities considering the local youth situation, as well as orient them on the basic parliamentary rules of procedures.
United States educated Mayor Jose Jono Jumamoy was quick to implement the ISKOLAR-BOS to ensure that the youth live up to their elders' expectations, and above all, manage their affairs by themselves.
