Things i miss from my own home town in America this event with the 3 year oldchild during the fair and pee-wee rodeo is known as Mutton Bustting.

The little girl has her face painted like a fierce tiger.

Sorry I was not able to download the picture because I can not quite figure out this contraption even tho Mike has showed me a few times...LOL!

The kids version of rodeinng when they ride on the back of a wholly fierce sheep and try to catch greased pigs and ride baby calves, instead of doing the big cowboy things that the older men do.

lol, interesting get-to-gether. haha

you know, Priscilla, during my tenure @ Allegheny College, i would attend the annual Town Parade on October, over 2-3 thousand people would come out to show case their fruits, harvests, clothing, American Spirit. hehehe.

You saw everything. Red heads, blondes, brunettes, black heads (hahaha), whites, latinos, asians, blacks, inter-racial, etc etc.

Oh man, i love it!
Mix and match. Everything in One. One in Everything.

Good Ol' Americanism. :)

Oh thats a cute one.I think I saw that one on t.v . I love county fair here too. I used to exhibit my cross stitch and photography on every county show and even the state fair. Mostly I won first place and always on the local newspaper but since I got too busy so I am not making anything anymore for exhibit well I think I can enter my garden produce but hopely next year I will go back to exhibiting again. We always had car demolition derby, combine demolition, atv racing, tractor and truck pull and some county have girls pig mud wrestling. I always love the state fair and county fair, you see lot's of hardworking american kids competing on livestock show. They have sheep, goats and pigs. And the fair foods like corn dogs, funnel cake and lemon shake up yummy.

Good for her! Too bad I didn't experience this ride when I was a kid even on a goat or pig :)

seeing this picture reminds me of my younger days in Bohol. I would always try to sneak inside our family's Kamalig in the back and try to feed the pigs some banana leaves. And i remember seeing the workers in the back cleaning the pig pen, the chicken  stalls. Id love to help them feed the pigs, the goats, the chicken, to get my hands dirty. hahaha!

Then my yaya would always shout at the workers to get me to go back home, because i wouldn't listen to the yaya. I didn't care if they threatened to 'latus' me, i wanted to hang out with the workers and feed the animals. lol :P

Oh i miss the sound of the rooster's call in the break of morning.
The memories of Philippines. :)
