Baptismal In Syria
« on: June 17, 2010, 08:33:14 AM »
A Syrian baby being baptized into the Orthodox Church

(yes there is a small pocket of Orthodox Christians in Syria)

A Syrian-Orthodox priest baptizes an infant on the banks of the Jordan River on April 14, 2009 at the Qasr El Yahud baptism site near Jericho in the West Bank. Hundreds of pilgrims gathered at the site where according to Christian tradition John baptized Jesus in the waters of the biblical river.
