Press Release: Tourism Secretary Christina Garcia Frasco met with the officers of the Tourism Promotions Board (TPB) Philippines earlier today to thresh out the concerns and challenges encountered by the agency.  The Secretary sits as Chairman of the Board of the TPB which is the marketing arm of the Department of Tourism (DOT).

Among the topics and issues discussed during the hybrid meeting are the ongoing programs and promotions of the agency, and upcoming domestic and international activities.

Secretary Frasco instructed the officials of the TPB to reach out to the local government units (LGUs) across the country and exhaust all assistance possible in order to assist the tourism-related requirements of the regions,  particularly the lesser-known and underdeveloped destinations so as to equalize opportunities for tourism marketing and promotion. Likewise, Secretary Frasco is keen on strengthening projects and programs granted by the TPB to LGUs all over the country, by exploring tourism areas and communities that could be further improved.

The DOT chief also underscored  the need to maximize the use of Travel App 2.0, an application that highlights key and emerging destinations in the country. The digitalization of tourism products and offerings, she  emphasized, is a priority  under the  Marcos Administration.

Secretary Frasco was joined by Chief of Staff and Undersecretary-designate Atty. Mae Elaine Bathan and Undersecretary-designate Atty. Shereen Gail Pamintuan.

Meanwhile, the tourism chief, also had a series of meetings with various operating units earlier  today, including the discussion with officials of the Tourism Regulation, Coordination, and Resource Generation (TRCRG) on infrastructure development, incentives for accreditation, and manpower.

John 3:16-18 ESV
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son (Jesus Christ), that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.
