You're welcome, Tita. The beauty of life -- includes all of our experiences, our loved ones, family members, friends who we've met along the way -- and to put it into perspective where we feel we've made a difference -- a positive difference. Please accept my condolences on the passing of your friend, Eppie, May God grant her eternal rest in the Kingdom of Heaven. This we pray through Christ our Lord, Amen.

smile is tatak pinoy jud, samot pa kun bisaya ug kaliwat, bisan sa unsa madangatan mo katawa gihapon, mas sayon mokatawa kaysa magmogtok.

Bisan sa ako pangidaron karon, if have the chance maligo gihapon kay it always reminds me of my childhood years ug pamati makapabata pod hehehehe

even tb's own taga tigbao--the middle one in the picture below--is smiling while knee-deep in floodwaters.  (i know he's smiling because if he were not, his posing would have been that of bruce lee ready with a fatal blow. ;D)

true gyod nga but-an ang baboy, bai tigs.  morpa.  last namong baboy, grade 4 ko.  terrence iyang ngan.  kada buntag, modiretso gyod ko niyag hapihap.  layo pa ko, kun makakita siya nako, mohigda dayon kay kahibawo siya nga gitikon nako iyang tiyan.

then that bad day came.  nakadungog ko nga kuhaon na siya sa mangingihaw.  sa way tingog-tingog ug way kalibotan among mama, nagtapok kog daghang bato sa silong.  pag-abot sa mga mangingihaw, ako silang gibato ug sagunson.  paskang gubota kay sa gigunitan na ko morag ako ang baboy nga giihaw.  maayo gani kay didto sa layong dapit ihawa si terrence.  duha unta mi nga naihaw.

wa ko moeskwela, wa ko mokaon bahalag humba ang sud-an.  mora mig gikamatyan sa dining table.  aw, gikamatyan baya gyod.  da, hasta among mama kasige ug hilak.  diha-diha nakapanaad siya nga di na magbuhi ug baboy hangtod.

i make no pretensions here.  mokaon kog baboy.  kamao ko mohimo ug tocino ug ham.  nagnegosyo pa ko ani sa una.  ayaw lang gyod ko patan-awa nga buhi pa ang baboy.  di pod ko mokaon ug makakita kog litson nga tibuok.  mahinumdom dayon kong terrence bisag dugay na.

karon, molikay kog bisperas ug pista in any place tungod sa siyagitay ug baboy anang gabii sa pagpangihaw.  sa amo dapit sa cebu nga mo-observe pag pista ang barangay, mo-check-in kog hotel anang pagkagabii aron lang ko molikay sa mga siyagit ug baboy.  nungka nga moadto kog tagbilaran kun pista.  malagmit, liwas na ko moadto.

unta, and this is my dream, moabot tag point nga ang pag-ihaw sa baboy kalit, pareha sa west nga koryente ang gamiton; painless and without torture.

but-an gyod ang baboy, bai tigs.  an example:

Lulu saved her owner Jo Ann's life after she had a heart attack while her husband was out fishing.  While the dog just barked, LuLu squeezed through a doggy door (she was lighter then), managed to open the garden gate and laid down in front of traffic.  She caught the attention of a man who followed her back to the home because he thought she was in distress.  He found Jo Ann and called an ambulance.
