moment of sadness, suffering or pain can break any person. it strikes us at any time due to a loss, tragedy, separation, sickness or death. then we try to cope and get over with it. one day at a time. for many, to do it takes a lot of strength from yourself.

each person's experience of drawing strength is a learning pool for many. maybe, yours can be, too.

share now...that we may learn.

to hear about my parents ' delicate condition, while i'm too far away from them, is very painfully hard. i always suffer nostalgia and am wanting to quit this place. but they need my help. and that makes things a bit heavy in my heart.
nonetheless, knowing the fact that they are "happy and alive" is good enough for me to be strong. as they're my inspiration, that God provides me in this freezing world. (kini sa lang).

Doy, I salute your strength. It happened to me, too. My mother was dying of lung cancer and the money I sent was used by my father for playing mahjong ( he is an inveterate gambler). My mother thought all the while I was not sending any amount, naka utang nagud ko sa bangko. Nabuking tanan pag uli nako kay ilobong na si Nanay.

Speaking of mingaw, sadness and ect, etc, i experienced panic attacks, almost nervous breakdown without any relative around in this strange world. But i learned to be tough, the toughest i can be, to survived to all that crisis , Glace. Now, I sometimes think that i am invincibly tough person, but i can somestimes feel that i have some weaknessess in me and i dont know what - maybe i dont want to be alone anymore...

the common thing between us is certainly being in the place where there's nobody we can turn to. it's very disappointing to think. yet you learn to cope and rise above the occasion. you're very brave. i don't know if i can handle what you've gone through, da bins, but i guess it's true He never gives us a load we can't carry. you're truly gifted with resilience and a persevering heart. happy st. patrick's day

The Lord does work in mysterious ways, Bem. From my experiences lang, bem, all my answers have been answered by HIM. Sure, not all of them went according to my expectations, but all have been answered according to HIS will. His plans.

Ang Ginoo is like a firm amahan that will always listen to our cries. His answers to our prayers may not correlate with our expectations, etc, but they are meant to strengthen us. He has a plan jud for each and every single one of us.

This reminds me of the parable Jesus talks about the lost sheep. Jesus tell us that God The Father is like the sheppard who will stop and look for that 1 lost sheep. Even if 99 sheep follow the sheppard, the sheppard will still look and search for that 1 sheep that has gone astray.

When we analyze this parable, there is so much depth and revelation in it that sometimes, we are, by conviction, fall on our knees and give thanks.

A friend of mine, God Bless Her, once was worried because of an argument she had with her other friend. She's a spiritual girl, God Bless her, and she worries much about karma and what not.

I told her straight to her face;

Instead of putting so much concern in karma and bad luck, put faith doubly in the righteousness and goodness of the LORD. For who made the voices of men, the deaf, the hearing and the BLIND! Who made the the hairs of your head? Did karma? Who made your face, your foot, your brain, your intelligent capacity? Did karma? spirits?
NO! God ONLY. "

I really do not like it when people put so much concern in notions of karma and gaba-an-gaba-an. etc.

There is no such thing. All of that is superstitions BS. Imho.
All these notions of spiritual mediums and divinations! If you believe in such BS, you will only be affected by it. And all of those are by the DEVIL! May the LORD GOD REBUKE him!!!

Please all remember scripture DENOUNCES divination, and superstition!
"For there is no omen against Jacob, Nor is there any divination against Israel; At the proper time it shall be said to Jacob And to Israel, what God has done!"
-Numbers 23:23

and!

Ephesians 2:8-9 tells us, "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast."

Therefore, we see that the concept of reincarnation and karma is incompatible with what the Bible teaches about life, death, and the sowing and reaping of eternal life.

Dear brothers and sisters, please remember that Karma is a buddhist/hindu philosophy. If you believe in that, you believe in their spiritula deities/heathen gods.

THERE IS NO SALVATION IN THIS EARTH, aside from CHRIST JESUS!

Our Heavenly Father is so great, that He is so resilient and faithful on us, though we make recompense and sins abound. His resiliency in His belief for us remains unchanged.

With hands wide open. All we have to do is merely call HIM, ask HIM, and the goodness of the LORD will surely rescue us. Comfort us when no living thing can do.

In times of trouble, it helps to read the beautiful verses of PSALM 139.
When I read it, whenever I am feeling down or lonely, I can feel the LORD's spirit around me

PSALM 139: 1-12

O Lord, you have searched me and known me!
2 You know when I sit down and when I rise up;
you discern my thoughts from afar.
3 You search out my path and my lying down
and are acquainted with all my ways.
4 Even before a word is on my tongue,
behold, O Lord, you know it altogether.
5 You hem me in, behind and before,
and lay your hand upon me.
6 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me;
it is high; I cannot attain it.

7 Where shall I go from your Spirit?
Or where shall I flee from your presence?
8 If I ascend to heaven, you are there!
If I make my bed in Sheol, you are there!
9 If I take the wings of the morning
and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea,
10 even there your hand shall lead me,

Glace, while in L.A., my elder sister and I went to have hair cut at a parlor owned by Guatemalan couple. While seated on the high chair, in front of me was a quote of Psalm 23. Kaso lang in Spanish and so I reread the Psalm once we got home. Nice kaayo!

Glace, while in L.A., my elder sister and I went to have hair cut at a parlor owned by Guatemalan couple. While seated on the high chair, in front of me was a quote of Psalm 23. Kaso lang in Spanish and so I reread the Psalm once we got home. Nice kaayo!

1. rebound which is found in 1John 1:9
2. filling of the HOLY SPIRIT, we cannot study HIS word without this
3. faith-rest drill, having a relaxed mental attitude in any situation
4. grace orientation, everything is GOD's provision
5. doctrinal orientation, take-in GOD's word on a daily basis
6. personal sense of destiny, we have to know tha plan of GOD in our life
7. personal love for GOD John 14:15
8. impersonal love for mankind -love your neighbor as yourself, love your enemies
9. sharing the happiness of GOD
10. occupation with the LORD JESUS CHRIST(having the mind of CHRIST)
These are the 10 problem solving devices which i mentioned, we studied these for almost a year.

I couldn't forget the time when my Mom was fighting for her life during and after kidney surgery. I never begged God like I did that time. I was in the church crying my heart out. I told him I will submit to His will but I still asked him like an obnoxious child to let it be His will to extend my Mom's life. And He did.

Where Do You Draw Your Strength In Times of Trouble?

when im run out of strength bow,
after a short while, I felt as though my heart would break.
No ! my heart was breaking day by day gyod huh,(last passed yrs.)

and there seemed no end in sight, no hope for 2morow,
and no lightness to break the spiritual darkness,WTF (sori)

went to a place where "all by myself" sitting in the bank somewhere out there,
hangadÂ² sa langit, innerly my heart was crying asking the Lord "pls. gimme more strength"
wont U? i firmly believe the "two foot prints in d sand" twas then U carry me Lord,
begging to carry me again, right now ! or else i will come to Yah (jokes)
after inhale/exhale ug pangulit ni BRO, dah nahuwasan gamay.

got home telebabad mangulit napod sa mga ka berks/cazin talking about the good old days
sa among mga garaÂ²(until now garaon lang japon) they lifted me up,
in a way nga makakatawa kog balik and told me ,
"chin up Babes,katiw ra na sa naagian ni Lord, di ka mohilom dha bakobak ka ron"

and there "me", bit relieved unja mag kuri kuri to hold mah tears,mahupay raman sad

we are always concerned about how we will hold up when the time comes
for our persecution(ngiga)
and trial,but the "Almighty" offers us some pertinent and reassuring insights.

just believeth and have faith, ngaks nag serious ang baje bai-morag korekekek !

My spiritual strength:

Hearing stories from good samaritans. Hearing the stories of Ate Ging feeding the poor, doing food drives, attending masses for the recently departed, nursing home volunteering etc.

It reminds me that there are, indeed, many good people out there that still show the epitome of a 'Good Samaritan'.

Other is hearing Fr. Ranulfo's sermons on Saturday Mass. Ma rejuvinated ko and ma-inspired pood ko for the upcoming week.

Another source of strength for me is the Blessed Eucharist.
Adoration of the Blessed Eucharist--mo angay jud ko ana.
Mo sit down ko sa chapel for hours--ug naa koy time. Peaceful kaayo ug uplifting ang experience.

Daghang patients that I have to deal with, that combined with theory work for classes,
and juggling emotional feelings for my family etc.

sija mo dry my tears when I am homesick for my family.
