Pain will pass but each time it happens, it is a walk to remember. It is a gentle reminder that we have to constantly see things from God’s perspective. We do not always have to understand everything; in our limited capacity as humans we may not be able to handle the truth. That said, maybe God knows that the mystery of His ways are better left unknown, the same way some things are better left unsaid; and trusting Him gives every sad thing a sense of purpose where there none is to be found, enables the heart to feel a quiet acceptance when none can’t be felt.
Pain may always be unwelcome, but it does not always have to be so loathsome.
