Here in Tubag Bohol, we have shared a lot of ideas, feelings, emotions, opportunities ... let this spirit lives in our hearts, let us initiate something to make this happen. Why not translate these noble ideas into solutions where everyone could be benefited. No man lives by himself alone.

Daghan tang mahimo kong magkahiusa kita. Sama sa usa ka tukog nga mahimo kining silhig kong imong bugkoson...

Tubag Bohol could be a venue where we could:

1. establish a mutual / trust fund
2. establish a cooperative or micro-finance bank
3. establish a revenue generating business
4. intensify expansion efforts to be a BIG voice in the community
5. bring dreams into reality through sharing
6. put all our good ideas into a common vision beneficial to all.

and a lot more... we could start now.

nindot gyod ni kay aside from enjoying sharing ideas, we could start something that would help us in the future, something to cling on when we get home. We have to consider this as part of re-integration process kay manguli man gyod ta tanan kon dili mobisita sa yutang natawhan kon dili makatabang ta sa mga mahal sa buhay nga nabilin sa pilipinas and much we could contrbute something to the community.

through this forum, we will have a list of interested parties, like what you all said, we have to delegate somebody to manage out from the group; of course we have to go through with all the required formalities as a legitimate entity.

never that we engage on something that is not mandated by the majority of the group. karon makalista na ta ug kinsay interesado, then we have to submit proposals, then deliberate or study the proposals, select the most viable...and so on. I am willing to share my expertise which I've lent to some organizations being a consultant, and everybody is welcome to share his / her brilliance. this is not only the voice of one, but a total voice of everyone.

It is a brillant idea! You count on me whatever the majority agreed in what particular kind of project be initiated over there in our place. It must have to indicates some reasonable and a helpful project in which really needed. I must have to give a suggestion, how about in a charitable section? ORPHANAGE?
The number of children there were really extremely happy when my husband and I visited them brought some " PINASKOHAN " last Christmas 2002! While shopping in BQ, we saw a nun and we asked her the tel number and the name of the personal-in-charge in that house to her surprised. That afternoon with those kids was unforgettable. They had sang for us a theme of thanks. This coming Dec. will be visiting a child somewhere there in Leyte in which my husband financially supporting. Well, any opinions?

RE: Helping Others

We can contact a school, an orphanage or a crisis intervention center. The University of Bohol has an adopt a school program and it's helping schools in Corella, Loay, and somewhere else. We can help them, too.

Or we can help the Bohol Crisis Intervention Center (BCIC). It's a home of children and women survivors of incest rape, rape, physical abuse as well as the babies of these children and women. They have therapy sessions, skills training, medical and legal assistance. Organizations, churches, schools, and NGOs visit them to help them in different ways. We can help them, too. Those who wish to send help can contact FEED THE CHILDREN PHILIPPINES, INC., the NGO that is managing this government facility.

I remember one of you here was planning a get-together, maybe we can visit the center for a reach-out activity. Last time I was there, we had an art workshop/therapy with the kids.

Hello TB members,

I am taking note of all suggestions and ideas which have to be incorporated in whatever Action Plans TB members would engage in the future.

We envisaged that should any one of the TB members is the activity owner of the Action Item, then it would be integrated in his itinerary whenever he / she gets home ( this is for overseas TB members ). Those members who are presently in the community may initiate projects with the support and assistance from TB members who are outside Bohol.

It is a perfect suggestion, at least we are nearer to realize such proposed help project over there. If I'm not mistaken, El Mundo and Macky F. are there at the point of interest. It seems they are the perfect organizators with some other brillant opinions....they have also ideas cited in the previous issue and Mike, the big Boss have to give us his okay for whatever of those introduced organizations be decided. You know, thru posting we could not reach to any points, the best way is, all active members must be mailed a personal message in this connection from the initiator/and or a member who is there in Bohol. Well, it is only an opinion. Who has the best and more interesting one?

microfinancing for small entrepreneurs... but not only on fund sourcing but should also deal on providing consultancy, guidance and partnership... i believe we will prosper... not just focus on the funds to be lent...and the income of commission / interest to derive... like what we have here in the Philippines.... Initially, we have already identified options and initiatives on how we could help each other, not only in financial terms ... as most of us encounter constraints due to our present mobility ( as some as based overseas ), it takes time to find the proper occasion to make a start.

But what we have achieved here, we are able to infuse the idea of RE-INTEGRATION, we will not only think of re-integration when we are near to settle for good, but while we are still enjoying working outside, let us start doing the process of re-integration... ( what to do when I get home?, who are the people who could help?, what is the present state of environment?, do I have sufficient resources?... and so on."

Jun Ayag, the thread starter, is now in Bohol for good. I think it's time to revive this idea.

I soon came up against the wall of reality in pursuing this business idea in Bohol, kay murag dili pa gyud ready ang telecom infrastructure sa Bohol. For one, wala ta'y stable broadband internet, which call centers and globally linked service-oriented businesses require as a minimum condition. And the feedback I hear about the city hall not being very encouraging to business starters also dampened my enthusiasm. No wonder nabiyaan na ta sa Bacolod ug Dumaguete, nga halos parehas ra pud sa Tagbilaran in terms of size, in the business process outsourcing industry.

But I think it is too soon to give up on this wonderful idea. I buzz nato si Sir Jun Ayag.

6. Kon makahatag mog balay, ang GK Manila na mangitag laing sponsors para sa ilang livelihood, education, values formation ug uban pa.
7. But the usual situation is, ang grupo nga mo-sponsor ganahan mo sagubang sa tanang needs per village. Dako-dako ni nga proyekto pero makalipay sa Ginoo.
