MARCH 20 IS INTERNATIONAL DAY OF HAPPINESS

In 2012, the General Assembly of the United Nations unanimously proclaimed March 20th International Day of Happiness, (IDoH) giving global recognition to the relevance of happiness and well-being as universal goals and aspirations in the lives of human beings around the world and the importance of their recognition in public policy objectives.
Everyone around the world is invited to participate in IDoH, and each year the celebration grows larger and more creative. The Worldwide Happiness Dinner (WHD) is an example. People are invited to host a meal and conversation on or around March 20th. The conversation is about happiness and what matters in life. Guidelines for the discussion will be provided and conversation highlights and photos will be collected and shared by The Happiness Walk. More information are available at their web site:

The Worldwide Happiness Dinner is an opportunity to reflect on what truly matters in lives: our relationships, our connections, good food and health. International Day of Happiness is a celebration of what’s right in the world and how we, as citizens of that world, can make it a happier, healthier place.
