What If the 1st Philippine Republic Won The War for Independence?

Let us say, hypothetically speaking, that the 1st Philippine Republic was victorious against the American expeditionary forces to the Philippines. What if the Philippines secured its independence instead of being colonized for an additional 45 some years. What would be different? Give your view.
