Know the Keys of a Longer Life
By Max G. Murphy
"Life offers you a thousand chances. All you have to do is take one." This is a quote from a movie entitled "Under the Tuscan Sun". As the quote says, there are many things ahead that are waiting to be taken by our hands. There are many things that offer us a variety of options and these also offer as much differing outcomes. All these depends on the judgment of a person; on how he ponders deep about the situation at hand and how well he is dealing with it.
In my opinion, extended longevity should be a major concern because life is too short to not to be savored. Life does not offer you much time to redeem yourself when you've already dumped it in a waste basket.
Learning a handful of knowledge and experiencing what life can possibly offer can be the greatest achievement you can obtain in choosing to live a longer life. Living a longer life allows you to experience a whole lot than dying young.
First, learn to go out frequently and do everything you wanted to do.
Experience is not bad when you offer yourself enough to satisfy your curiosity. It lets you enjoy and appreciate the benefits brought by nature like the relaxing sensation from the gentle breeze and sounds of the chirping birds.
Engaging in a healthy diet and sustaining your body with enough water with adding a cup of green tea your meal can lengthen your life span. Consume cook foods that are more on steaming, boiling and stewing to lessen the amount of glycotoxins which contributes to inflammation and oxidative stress.
A diet called calorie restriction diet is used where you are reducing the daily intake of calories but not to the point of starvation. With this, you maintain a healthy weight sparing you from further damage to your body.
Reducing your calorie intake daily serves the purpose of slowing down the age-related changes in the genes of the heart that can cause chronic diseases is an essential step to lengthen your life expectancy.
Regular exercise can also extend your life expectancy. This helps your body to be fit at the same time can prevent the possible risk of cardiovascular diseases. For instance, using yoga as a daily routine can help your joints and ligaments supple since it is focused on stretching.
According in a study done at Stanford University in California about middle-aged members of a runner's club, they concluded that runners are half more likely to die in a 20-year period than those who are not running. Thus, running reduces the risk of cancer and neurological diseases in addition to heart diseases.
In addition to keeping the body active, the mind as well should keep up. By continuous learning, the mind is maintained young which in turn keeps it from being chronically ill or disabled. By doing crossword puzzles or answering a trivia, the mind is conserved to be mentally sharp and word recall is also enhanced.
Deep sleep is needed by the body for regeneration and recovery purposes due to a day's work.
By stopping smoking and limiting your intake of caffeine permits you to gaining the sufficient sleep you need. Smoking and caffeine lets you experience damage in your lungs, aortic stiffness and wave reflections which in turn let you not get enough sleep needed by your body.
Lastly, be optimistic and learn the different coping strategies to stress. People with positive attitudes tend to live longer and healthier lives. Engage in social networking and construct a strong bond towards others.
Research suggests that establishing a stable social network and a deep sense of camaraderie towards others is also a key to longer life.
