Hello Macky!  Thanks a lot for the recipe link.  Are you also into cooking just like your mother?  My Dad is a good cook but he only cooks during special ocassion.

Being brought up in cooking environment as a child, I learned how to cook through instinct. Sa bata pa ko mo tukar dayon ang katapolan kung may provincial meet or special occasion kay patabangon man mi sa akong mama. Usahay, apason mi ug latos kay mo laag man gyud sa silingan.

That's very good to know, Macky na you can cook!  My husband does too but sya ra kasabot sa iyang nilutuan and he calls his cooking dayon, gourmet cooking!  Wa diay mo na exempt anang latos?  Kami pod oi!  As to my cooking, I think it started from my grandmother.  Dili tuod to manglatos pero pirte ka banhaan (may her soul rest in peace!  I love you, Nanay Elena!).  Magkurog2x gud ko adto maayo nlang makapasumangit na ang onion nakaingon na gahilak unya Tatay Macar was there to defend us!  Pero later na ma realize na naka hone to namo somehow in cooking food!

Ha ha ha ha! Here we have often baked all sorts of cookies for friends , family and for persons in the capitol building.
Chocolate chips for one bag of Hershey's cost almost $6.00 for one bag, but if you bake baby sized cookies it makes allot.

Looking at binsi's pictures my mouth starts to water and my fat cells start a hollering; "COME HERE!" "I WANT TO EAT YOU!" "I MUST HAVE YOU!" Teaser's!

That's what I thought so too, Angie!  Sometimes they call that, Mango Supreme!

Here's a good leche flan recipe.  Sure, this is nowhere close to low fat - if anything, this is a truckload of fat!

Leche Flan Recipe

Ingredients
Custard:
•   12 egg yolks
•   1 can condensed milk
•   1 pint Vit D milk
•   1 tablespoon vanilla (lemon essence or peppermit can be substituted)
Directions
Blend all ingredients in a blender. Pour mixture into a loaf tin lined with caramelized sugar (see below). Cover with aluminum foil. Place tin in a larger baking pan half-filled with water. Place pan in pre-heated oven (375 F) and bake flan for about 1 hour or until it is firm.
Caramel
•   1 cup sugar
•   1 cup water
Directions
Put sugar and water in a saucepan. Caramelize in high heat. Line loaf tin with caramelized sugar. Be sure to line the sides of the pan.

crema de manga intawn na nakuwangan man ug mangga, mao nang strawberries and kiwi nalang gidugang.

cream:
a can of nestle cream mixed with condensed milk. chill until thickened.

My secret, i use only 11 egg yolks and one whole egg.  I prefer to bake instead of steaming.  I use water bath or in French, they call it Bain Marie.  It simply mean that you put your pan for baking to a much larger pan with water, just enough not to spill the water to what you are baking.  I suggest you put first your leche pan for cooking to the larger pan in the oven then ayha pa dugangan ug warm water kay aron dili lisud.

boil pork ribs in milk salt solution until the ribs look tender. then, fry the ribs in a separate pan.

in a  separate pan (daghan jud hugason!), saute boat-shaped onions, garlic, and julienned ginger. then add toyo and vinegar, tomato kechup, sugar and loads of ground black pepper. let it simmer. then add the ribs.simmer.

Si, I do that too; add instant coffee to my caramel or 1/4 lemon juice  instead of plain water. for the custard, it always help to put a pinch of salt!  I only add one whole egg so it's really soft and creamy.  I haven't tried putting 3 whole eggs.  I only add one whole egg and so far, my leche flan is really soft and creamy.

Pareho ta oi gagilok!  For the past days, busy akong beauty ug nilutuay kay daghan mi guests and since gamay ra man among balay, didto mi tanan gatapok sa akong Tia na mother ni Smiffytheninja kay dako man ilang balay.  Grabeh bonding pero mao lagi, naa bay bonding sa mga Pinoy kon way kaon busa ning gain ko weight ubay-ubay pod!

Dre pod, middle of the day, ok ra dili mag jacket but early morning and late night, aguy katugnaw gajud!  Hey, take it easy lang.  If you can take vitamin C, take jud aron dili ka magka colds dali.  Ako, dili man makaya sa akong tiyan nang Vitamin C jud bisan pa Esther C!  Just keep yourself warm especially early in the morning kanang padulong ka skwelahan.  Have something warm before you leave the house like coffee of milk.
