OMG..!!

This is unbelievable..!!

If you look at the summary of posts that "Guindulman" has in this blog forum as of today, May 29, 2010 among the 40 plus towns of Bohol, there are about more than 1,200 posts, few hundreds less than Valencia.

Of course with bigger population and land areas of Ubay and Tagbilaran, they have the highest number of posts. And that is expected.

But for Guindulman, this is a big surprise, though it has slight bigger population and land area compared to Jagna.

What does this mean?

1.) GUINDULMAN IS ALWAYS HOT.
It has lots of hot stuff that people would love to talk about. When interesting and intelligent Guindulmanons talk, other Boholanos all over listen. Hmm, that is quite interesting.

2.) It is either that there is a jealousy component that other non-Guindulmanons have regarding our people and would love to bring them and Guindulman town down or they are riding its popularity in order to learn how our town blossomed to be what it is right now.

3.) There might have Guindulmanons that have the money or perhaps millionaires that they cannot beat money-wise and they can't get over that. They tend to discredit them because that is the only way they can beat them, at least they tried. Not going to happen. Guess what, Gunidulmanons know how they do their businesses here and abroad and they are not going to tell you. Duh..!!

4.) Guindulmanons are expressive and open to all sorts of good ideas and they work as a team toward a common goal. That is really a good thing, hmmm.

5.) Guindulmanons are educated and smart. They can bring lots of ideas to the table. It is a matter of time that the town will grow into another CITY in the future in this Southeastern part of Bohol.

6.) Guindulmanons are "beautiful" people genetically. The breeding of the Tamblot tribe that used to live close to Tabajan River and the Spaniards in the Sawang part of Poblacion was the best heritage our forefathers gave us. Tamblot's men were fighting against the Spaniards during Spanish colonization of the Philippines.

7.) Guindulmanons are known to be artists: they are known to be painters, choreographers, dancers, make-up artists, hairstylists, creative songwriters, singers, stage perfomers, and the like. And they like to decorate themselves, one way or another, to be noticed or objects of envy.

8.) Guindulmanons are go-getters (perhaps aggressive sometimes). They know what they want and they go for it.

9.) They are trendsetters of "southeastern" Bohol. They are being looked into, looked at, criticized a lot, or being pulled down but they are resilient. They go up further higher if they are being pulled down.

Those who are Guindulmanon detractors, you can chase us or bring us down, but the entire town will shine.

SHINE GUINDULMAN SHINE.

There are lots of foristas in here that are NOT Guindulmanons. They are here to bring us down. They criticize us to the max. But we, Guindulmanons, know better and they will go and move forward and upward whether you like it or not..

The "doom" curse is nowhere to be found. It is no longer around..!!!

This thread surprised me. I know Guindulmanons are humble and soft spoken. Not arrogant and ego freaks.

Most of them think and observe before talking and they don't talk bubbles.

You must be talking from your diluted mind and not based on real facts.

My respects to the good people of Guindulman.

The best heritage? Hmm. The genetic interaction must have been redolent with passion and drama, a tropical Baroque that engendered a superior race...

Wow! I realize only now how little I know about Bohol history. Thank you. I've learned a lot from this highly informative post...

You are supposed to be the CEO? How did that happen? But you don't behave and act like one. You should be stripped off of that title or don't use it is annoying.

You can say whatever you want like you labeled me with those terms that are not true, derogatory and you are being very disrespectful. You are supposed to be respectful and not using name calling. But you did and I don't appreciate that.

If you think I am arrogant, and so do you. It takes one to know one, I guess. So there you go.

My opinions are mine, you don't have to take it. Too bad, that is the way it is.

If you want people to respect you, you have to respect others. Stop using those names bec. they might refer to you too.

As far as I know, I posted my opinons and you should leave it like the way it is. Peace.

A wiseman knows that he is intelligent and he has to show that off to people so they would know and be used by them to improve their lives. Otherwise he would be rotten and useless.

If you think I am a wise man, thanks for the complement. But I really don't need praises from somebody like you who is a negative person to begin with. Sorry..

Thank you.

I am glad that there is someone out there who understands where I come from.

I could not just listen to what these "people" (who live in this forum 24/7) are saying about Guindulman for the most part and accept everything they said. There are always two sides of the story and everyone should listen to both and judge them for themselves.

I am sick and tired of hearing people criticizing Guindulman to the max like they know better or more intelligent than the people that live in that town.

It is okey to criticize us but somebody needs to say hey, what you said are too much and you need to f*** off as it is getting to the point where they are no longer beneficial to the community and they bring things down.

Remember, we have the Tamblot genes in us, Guindulmanons. Hey, I am just saying the fact what I have learned in my Bohol history books.

Thank you and God bless.

what is interesting about guindulman?  those cut trees, what else!

superior genes, real or imagined, have nothing to do with cut trees.  so let's grant that guindulmanons have everything better, bigger, fairer, and all the townspeople may be due for canonization, but hey, does it have anything to do with cut trees, which is the raison d'etre for the slew of posts about the town here in tb?

so sorry, abjayoma.  harping about how superior your town and its people are won't bring back those trees, which belonged to humanity.

Wow, very well said.

However, the fact remains that there is an on-going environmental issue in your town perpetrated by the incumbent mayor in collaboration with DENR employees.

The bottom line is, no matter what, nobody can bring the trees back. That is the issue here on TB no more no less. You are right; this issue is really very emotional. It is about conscience, it is about respect to our environment, it is about a crime to humanity, it is about commitment to protect Mother Earth, it is about being a Boholano.

It is about responsibilities that every Boholano should share in whatever capability we can afford to offer.

I don't think it is your business to perpetrate the issue or make it a big deal and linger on it forever but you can, I guess, if you want to.

It seems that it was done with permission and consultation with proper authority. Whatever happens during the process, who are we to question that unless there is a proof that it was sanctioned illegally. As far as we are concerned, this issue is closed and resolved. Things were done with proper permit, then give it a rest.

It is not illegal if the authorities (DENR or whatever) gave the go signal. MOVE ON..!!! You have better things to take care of.

People power works only when it is absolutely necessary like Marcos' dictatorship. There was no democracy. Scholars do not recommend it because it is chaotic and things are way out of control. I was a part of people power in 1986 and I was in EDSA when I was in Manila that time and I know what it was like and how chaotic that was if you really think about it.

You cannot live in people power if you have legitimate, elected officials already like at this time. They are elected by the majority and they make decisions for the people if they benefit the majority. They might not be always right but the next elections will take care of that esp. if they run for re-elections. Do not re-elect them. Use democratic processes instead of using your mouths to "talaktak" about this forever. Unfortunately, she won again this time. She must have done more good things than bad ones and you cannot discredit that if the people like her and voted for her. That is a "no-brainer".

Remember, people power and democracy are not the same and they do not mix. The former is chaotic while the latter takes care of the chaos and maintaining peace and order. This is Political Science 101..

I think I have said enough on this issue. You guys should know this by now. HELLOO!!

Hello AB,

Welcome to Tubag Bohol Dot Com, I must say that I have never been to Guindulman, but am interested in visiting your town when I go back to visit this July 2010. I have some family friends who are from Jagna, and have mentioned that the people in your town are very welcoming and pleasant. :)

I am originally from Sawang, Valencia Bohol. So I have my loyalties in my beloved Valencia. Pero I do know that Guindulmanons are good people. We have family friends from Guindulman and are very good, faithful, God Fearing people.

I never knew about the so called Tamblot Tribe, but it has been interesting to read from your post and putting some awareness on Guindulman local history.

God Bless Guindulman! And all Guindulamanons!

A Son of Valencia.,

Get over that trees issue. Talking about them is not going to make any lives better.

to anyone alive and breathing, the trees issue is not something one gets over and done with, except for the guilty ones.  talking about them would certainly make lives better, if not for us in the here and now, then for the future generations who could be less thoughtless because of the noise that we are making now.

The humanity doesn't own the trees. You know who they belong to. I don't have to spell it out for you. You know better than that. If you don't, you have to figure it out yourself, sorry. Or maybe this conversations would not occur if you have to get that trees issue a rest.

shout yourself hoarse, if you may, but humanity owns every tree on the planet.  we know you claim birthright to those cut trees in your town, but so does the rest of humanity.  you're right, i know who owns them.

Everybody has other things to worry about. But if you want to continue talking about them to the point that it is irritating already to listen to, then this issue will continue, plain and simple. And this could escalate to who knows.

sure, we even worry about idiots.  there simply are many things to worry about in this world, including cut trees.  our noise, even your irritation, aren't going to bring them back, plain and simple, but if such carelessness and thoughtlessness can be prevented from a repeat (sadly, after the fact), then our noise and your irritation shall not have been in vain.

but go ahead, i'll take your bluff.  let this escalate into... what?

I hope you understand what I mentioned about Guindulmanons. I don't have to elaborate them or add some more. They are self-explanatory and if you smart enough which you claim you are, then you don't need somebody to explain it to you.

Have a good day..

luckily, i do understand what you said about guindulmanons.  don't elaborate some more, please.  too much of a good thing is not good for my health, or yours.

aaahhh, so i claim i'm smart?  sorry, i never said such a thing.  remember, i'm not a guindulmanon, so how can i be smart?

but since you are a guindulmanon and it follows that you're the one who's real smart, kindly read over and over wolfpack823's reply #15 in this thread.  it's quite unlike my smarmy post; there's real sense there, for you.

have a good day too!

You can reply your own response.

Because if you ask me, there is nothing to elaborate. Everything has been said, explained or responded. If you have a problem with that, tallk to my real big hand.

To me, this "trees" case is closed and nothing else to talk about. I do have better things to think about.

I don't know about you guys but if you want to start a case, I guess, make sure you know how to explain your side even further up to the Supreme Court. Because if you can't, why bother?

Why waste your time and somebody else's if things are really not that of a big deal.  This "trees" issue is old news and has been taken cared of.

ARE YOU KIDDING ME???

You can reply your own response.

Because if you ask me, there is nothing to elaborate. Everything has been said, explained or responded. If you have a problem with that, tallk to my real big hand.

To me, this "trees" case is closed and nothing else to talk about. I do have better things to think about.

I don't know about you guys but if you want to start a case, I guess, make sure you know how to explain your side even further up to the Supreme Court. Because if you can't, why bother?

Why waste your time and somebody else's if things are really not that of a big deal.  This "trees" issue is old news and has been taken cared of.

ARE YOU KIDDING ME???

yes, sir, ma'am, sistah, and here i am responding to my own reply.  you're right, there's really nothing to elaborate.  it's not your problem, so why are you reading?

show my your "real big hand" and i'll show you a cut tree.

forums like tb is where we express ourselves.  we're free to do that just as you're free to express your bile.  but it's a long shot to talk about starting a case and going all the way to the supreme court when we're just aghast at those ancient trees that are no more.  besides, have you ever heard of a case against stupidity?

i kid you not.   but grow up, kid, and try harder to streamline your thoughts before you punch those computer keys.  remember, guindulmanons are a great breed.  don't disappoint us.  again.

Peace.

God Bless you ABJayoma. Calm down.

Why so angry for the truth that only backfired to you.

What you sow is what you harvest.

You better ask yourself why so many people are against the way you communicate?

You are entitled to your own views but don't think all will be happy about it. Expect that it will be challenged.

Welcome to Tubag Bohol. We promote friendship, not arrogance.

Peace to you too.

HELLOO!!

ABJayoma,

Do you think the mayor or the people of Guindulman appreciates what you are doing here? If so, then give us proof.

We are for the good of Guindulman people. We dedicate our time pouring nice suggestions for Guindulman, but you are telling them it is poison.

I am not from Guindulman, but I am just a concerned observer. The good spirited people with their simplicity is what attracts me. Guindulman is the last stronghold of the Escaya Tribe. I promise to protect this culture from being diluted/extinct and prevent from being deluded by ideas from people with personal interests or to be used for politics. I hope the next generation of Escayas will value preservation, be proud of their humble beginnings and move towards better future while avoiding destructive practices brought by modernization.

So if ever I hear 10 Guindulmanons who tells me to stop and mind my own business, then I will surely stop.

talaktaking is democracy in action.

This sounds a good idea Cujo.

Personally, I have nothing against the personal character of Mayor Piezas. It was her action and decision of cutting those trees that I am not in favor.

Mayor Piezas must understand that this is not politics anymore and we are not among her political adversaries that are trying to topple her party. We are just plain citizens reacting to an unethical action that she recently did. By the way, my congratulations for the landslide results.

If she is a fair person, then she should face the music here in TB to express her views or to say sorry.

Let us end this and start discussing positive ideas that could benefit us all.

It is no longer around..!!!

taka lang. pakauwaw lang kas mga Jayoma sa Guindulman. hahahahaha

labaw na ko. kon tinuod nga kining tawhana nagbasa jud sa mga posts nga ijang gijawit, then how come i read a very stupid analysis? pretentious fool!

methinks that you ABJayoma are giving the Guindulmanons a bad name in this forum. in contrast to what you implied, i have never badmouth the good people of Guindulman when i participate in the discussion. it started in the cutting of trees (i'm sure you know what with that big alien head of yours full of pretentious alien intelligence).

you obviously wants to antagonise all of us here. that's great! bring it on. show us your real mettle in this forum. was that it already? i'm sure there is still a lot more inside that bright head of yours. dont disappoint us dumb people here in TB.

fair enough :) bitaw, like you i still and will always consider Baclayon my hometown because of my ancestors. i grew up in tagbilaran but we always made it a point to visit the town on weekends.

there is something positive to be had on this talk on Guindulman. some of us have already given our ideas for a developed Guindulman and I hope ABJayoman can take it forward to the mayor for consideration. there is even a plan for tree planting as a TB project.
