Guindulman is an old town situated in the eastern part of Bohol. It is said that this town used to be called Guindulman, meaning "overtaken by darkness". The story is that formerly there were only 2 towns organized in this part of Bohol namely, Jagna and Batuanan (now Alicia). Travelers starting from either of these 2 towns were sure to be overtaken by darkness in this place; hence the name which was later changed to Guindulman.(the provincial government file)

It was called GUIDUMAN by the people passingby beacuse of many ACASIA TREES growing in the town proper during the haspinic time. But now, it only has two existing OLD ACASIA TREE found in the town proper. A wake up call to all GUINDULMANON..... MANANUM NA PUD TAG KAHOY ARON MA BUGNAW ATONG LUGAR... LAST THREE ( SWERTRES RA MAN INJU GUI DEVOTION DIHA!!!)
