Bohol Chronicle:
Power consumption is increasing in the province as temperature continues to remain high during the past days due to the El Nino phenomenon.
Meanwhile, rains can not be expected until the middle or later part of June, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAG-ASA).
The peak hours which used to be in the evening only during normal weather condition would already register even at mid-morning due to massive use of cooling systems in homes and offices.
Bohol requires 58 megawatts even during day time, according to power distributors here.
A check made the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAG-ASA) revealed that temperature has gone up to 35 degrees celcius recorded on the three hottest days this month, May 12, 15 and 21.
Reports from PAGASA said the hot and humid
weather may take a little bit longer as the rains are expected to come in the middle or later part of June.
