press release... Soon to rise in the eyed new Capitol site compound at the northern part of the CPG Avenue are a one-stop building of the Land Administration and Management Project (LAMP) Phase 2 and a CPG Park.
Governor Erico B. Aumentado set the separate groundbreaking ceremonies for the two projects this month- -this Monday, July 2 for the Carlos P. Garcia Park Development Project and July 21 for the LAMP 2 building.
According to Engr. Eustaquio Caliao of the Provincial General Services Offices (PGSO), the provincial government allocated an initial funding of P2 million for the landscaping and partial fencing of the eyed four-hectare park.
Engr. Caliao also said that the provincial government targets to inaugurate the CPG Park project during the celebration of CPG Day this November.
On the other hand, Governor Aumentado said that the LAMP building will cost P18 million.
The governor announced the development during his meeting with the newly-installed provincial officials last week at the Governor’s Mansion.
Bohol was chosen as the second Provincial Project Implementation Office (PPIO2) of LAMP 2, after the World Bank and the Australian Aid (AusAid) confirmed that the proposed site fits the standard for the project.
The selection was based on the guidelines and standards designed by the LAMP 2 composite team in May last year, represented by some officials of LAMP 2, Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR)–Lands Management Bureau and the Land Registration Authority (LRA).
The composite team then submitted the result to the National Steering Committee (NSC) on July 8 last year. (with reports from Aida Tanghal and Tess Ligones-Bancat/AV-PGMA)
