DILG Bohol holds orientation on digital systems for local development

The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) - Bohol Provincial Office conducted a Provincial Orientation on the Utilization of the Electronic Goal Achievement Matrix (E-GAM) and Electronic Local Development Investment Program (E-LDIP) Systems on March 2, 2023 at Reyna’s The Haven and Gardens, Tagbilaran City, Bohol¹².

The E-GAM system automates the prioritization process of programs, projects and activities (PPAs) of city and municipal local government units (C/MLGUs) using the Goal Achievement Matrix (GAM), a tool that helps align local plans with national priorities. The E-LDIP system serves as a platform for the digital encoding and generation of Local Development Investment Programs (LDIPs), which are multi-year plans that identify PPAs to be funded by local resources³.

The activity was participated by the Local Planning and Development Coordinators (LPDCs) or representatives and the City/Municipal Local Government Operations Officers (C/MLGOOs) of the city and municipalities in Bohol. The orientation aimed to enhance their knowledge and skills on using the digital systems for efficient and effective local development planning.

The DILG Bohol Provincial Director John Doe said that the orientation was part of their efforts to support C/MLGUs in achieving their development goals through innovative technologies. He also thanked Reyna’s The Haven and Gardens for hosting the event amid health protocols.

The participants expressed their appreciation for the orientation and said that they learned a lot from it. They also committed to apply what they learned in their respective LGUs.
