Cong. Edgar Chatto commits to support expansion and enhancement of investment promotions in Bohol with tripartite partnership of the Provincial Government of Bohol, City Government of Tagbilaran, and Bohol Chamber of Commerce and Industry during Investment Priority Review and Planning Workshop.
He said in terms of legislative support, at national level, he assured efforts not only to align national objectives but also to set policies that support investment promotion.
The Sangguniang Panlalawigan under the leadership of Vice Gov. Rene Relampagos can revisit local incentives for business in terms of relevance to today’s investment climate in Bohol. This can also be true in the city and municipal levels.
He congratulated tripartite partnership of the province led by Gov. Art Yap, Mayor Baba Yap of the City Government, and Reginald Ong of the BCCI for positive strides in enhancing attractiveness of Bohol by identifying investment areas.
He cited degree of success in bringing in investments in Bohol particularly for the Micro Small and Medium Enterprises at the time when Bohol was not yet seen as an investment destination.
Guided by vision and plans that ensure sustainable socio-cultural, environmental development and with enhancement capability of the sectors supported by USAID, he said Bohol is heading in the right direction to become a growth center, to provide more jobs, and to reduce poverty.
