Atty. Abel Damalerio represented Cong. Edgar Chatto during Soft Open House Festival of the Bohol Arts and Cultural Heritage (BACH) Institute (formerly Holy Spirit School elementary building).
Damalerio recalls going to school in the same building from Kinder to Grade 4 and shares it has been 35 years since he was inside the building and this time to celebrate the beauty of culture.
Cong. Chatto, then governor together with stakeholders planted the seed to nurture culture in Bohol and it is given life and fruition through the BACH Institute.
Damalerio highlighted culture is identity; Bohol’s pride is also found in its people and culture and character is learned through interaction with expressions of art. This he says translates to happy memories of Bohol.
Committing support thereof from the office of Cong. Chatto, he said the development of Bohol rooted in belief in beauty of culture arts and tradition has a place in our society today.
The BACH Institute is a program of the Provincial Government of Bohol with the Diocese of Tagbilaran, Loboc Youth Education Association Foundation in coordination with DepEd Bohol through the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA).
Delegation from the Seoul Institute of Arts witnessed the performances of the Loboc Youth Ambassador Band, Loboc Children’s Choir, Dimiao Rondalla.
Students from Special Program on Arts will undergo heritage and contemporary arts workshops and heritage talks throughout the day.
Provincial Administrator Atty. Kathyrin Pioquinto represented Gov. Art Yap in support of the rich culture in Bohol and to ensure knowledge of our culture and arts and to instill heritage and tradition to Bohol youth to showcase the beauty of Bohol.
