press releaseBohol BIR Chief Atty. Rogelio T. Balaga, of the local district office calls anew on the Boholano taxpayers to put the following BIR due dates in their priority lists to avoid the hassles of last minute filing habits; to wit:
January 15 – Last day of filing monthly remittance return of income taxes withheld and remittance of taxes withheld for the preceding month;
January 21 – Last day of filing Quarterly Non-value-added tax (non-VAT) return and payment of tax due thereon for preceding month;
January 25 – Last day of filing Quarterly Value Added Tax (VAT) return and payment of tax due for the preceding month; and
January 31 – Last day of payment of the Annual Registration Fee for taxpayers engaged in business.
January 15 is also the last day of Registration of Permanently Bound Computer-Generated/Loose Leaf Books of Accounts and other accounting records such as but not limited to receipts and Invoices; while January 30 is the last day for submission of Inventory Lists.
A new Revenue Memorandum Order has been issued dated Aug. 8, 2007 updating the Schedule of Compromise Penalties for failure to comply with these due dates and other promulgated BIR regulations.
Meanwhile Balaga also reminds taxpayers to claim their TIN cards at the BIR office. Document processing at the BIR office will be delayed without the TIN card. (ERelampagos)
