Four minutes later, the Philippines scored another goal via a right kick of Carli de Murga in the 11th minute of the play that was realized thru an assist made by James Younghusband who served as the team captain in Tuesday night's faceoff with Guam.
The home team displayed their aggressive stance at the start of the game giving no chance for the visiting team to launch offensives.
But before the first half ended, the home team scored another goal in the 46th minute of the game, courtesy of Guirado who succeeded in converting the free kick made by Dennis Cagara via a header third
goal for the Azkals.
According to the game plan earlier laid by Azkals coach Hans Michael Weiss for the host team to score in the early stage of the game, putting pressure on the rival team was indeed proven effective.
During the second half, the Philippine team made several attempts for more goals only to be frustrated by Guam's strong defense.
The Panaad stadium jampacked with audience composed of avid fans, football aficionados and even foreign figures as well as local officials in the sugarlandia city and province of Negros Occidental cheered for Azkals’ good performance during the friendly match.
