The patient leaves wearing a temporary crown and returns for a second appointment weeks later to remove the temporary and place the permanent crown.
With same-day crowns, the tooth is prepped, impressions are taken using a 3D digital scanner, and the crown is fabricated in-house and placed in the same visit. Same-day crowns are made with a high-quality tooth-colored material. Patients leave the office with a permanent crown that looks and feels like a natural tooth.

Donald W. Miller earned his Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry degree from the University of Connecticut before going on to a residency in Advanced Cosmetic & Surgical Dentistry at the University of North Carolina.
