THE bride looked stunning in a beautiful white gown on the day of her dreams.
She beamed for photos after tying the knot with a romeo who had romantically proposed on Valentine’s Day.

But the reception turned out to be anything but OK! for newlywed Morgan Medley.
Bloodied ... bride Morgan
She spent her wedding night in HOSPITAL after being attacked — by the Best Man.
Unconscious
Morgan, 52, said boozed-up Darrell Clarke, 26, punched her in the face during a row in a hotel car park.

She was knocked unconscious and her dress was left covered in blood.
Morgan said yesterday: “It was supposed to be the best day of my life. I ended up in casualty with a bloodied nose and two broken teeth.”
Trouble flared after she married her second husband lorry driver Shawn, 43, at the Carlton Park Hotel in Rotherham, South Yorks.

Morgan recalled: “The ceremony went without a hitch. But Darrell had started drinking at noon and we didn’t get married until 4pm. When we got to the speeches he was so drunk he was really slurred.

“By the end of the day he had drunk about a dozen cans of lager, wine, champagne, vodka and eight Tequila shots.
“I went outside with one of my friends and I was moaning about Darrell.
“He must have heard because next thing he came marching up to me, pushing his chest into me and shouting and yelling abuse.

“Before I could really do or say anything he had gone for me.
I can’t remember much else, but from what people say I slumped to the ground with blood all over my dress. I was unconscious for a few minutes and all hell broke loose around me.
“Two lads at another wedding got involved and were throwing punches at Darrell.
“Shawn and a friend of mine tried to break it all up and in no time the police and an ambulance were there.”

Court

The drama finally ended up in court yesterday as Clarke — the fiancé of Morgan’s daughter Samantha Hawkridge, 22 — was charged with actual bodily harm.

He pleaded guilty, but insisted that he had only pushed the bride.
Clarke, of Rotherham, was given a 12-month community order, 80 hours’ unpaid work and ordered to pay £250 compensation by the town’s JPs.

After the case he said: “I feel distraught.” And he said of Morgan: “She’ll never get to see her grandson again.”
Ex-ad sales boss Morgan, of Milton Keynes, Bucks, admitted: “This has caused a huge split in the family.
“My daughter and Darrell are engaged now so she doesn’t speak to me. It’s a nightmare which is still continuing.”
