How to Develop Well-Rounded Believable Fictional Characters

Creating believable compelling characters--ones that come to life on the page and fully engage the reader--is key in writing fiction. After you first introduce a character, you want the reader to crave more, and then you must deliver more throughout the story. Readers want to connect with the characters, so it is important to create an image for them early on. But describing physical characteristics is not enough. Other traits need to be gradually revealed throughout the story by way of dialogue, actions and internal thoughts. Characters are products of their actions, so it is important to know which actions are appropriate for each of your characters in order for them to be complete and well-rounded.

John 3:16-18 ESV
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son (Jesus Christ), that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.
