A gentle reminder from the UP CA Information Office about the proper times and venues the UP Sablay can be worn:

The UP Sablay should be given due respect as it is the official academic costume of the University. It can only be worn during academic events such as:

- College Recognition Rites
- Commencement Exercises
- Investiture of Chancellors and Presidents
- Awarding of Honoris Causa
- Official Photo Taking for Use by the University

The UP Sablay should not be worn to events such as PRC oath takings.
