CHED Manual of Regulations for Private Higher Education Institutions of 2008, particularly section 99 Article 20, provides: “No higher education institution shall deny FINAL exams to a student who has outstanding financial obligations, including unpaid tuition and other school fees corresponding to the school term."

i believe di na uso ang dili pa-eksaminon kay wa kabayad?  more than 10 years ago, when i taught college part time, wa gyod koy singil-singil sa permit.  my attention was called.  wa gihapon ko patuo.  catholic school man kaha ta?  ingon ko.  hehe, i prevailed.  sayonan ba uroy sila ug hatag ug special exam gawas pa nga di ko gustong ma-embarrassed ang student.  she's a learner, not a financier.

During my time in college (2003 to 2005) = Kada exam (prelim, midterm ug finals) ginapangita ang permits.

Karon (me as part time faculty member) = Wa nay permit permit. Inig ka grade dsitribution lamang, tungod kay hightech naman lagi, dili ka makaview sa imohang online grades kung may unpaid balance ka. Usa pa, dili ka makaencode sa imohang subjects sa next sem kung may balance pa ka. Mao ni nakalami sa hightech nga school system.

Karon, kung tua kas Boracay nag celebrate sa imohang sembreak, no need to worry and hurry para mag enroll. Basta may internet ka, puwede na ka mag-enroll. Mag encode ra kas imong subjects then okay na. Inig balik nimo sa Manila, sa first day of school, magpaprint lamang kas imong online registration card, bayad sa cashier then sud na kas klase. Way problema na.

Dili pareha sauna nga arang taaaaaaaaaaasa ang linya, gikan sa pagkuha sa grades hangtud sa enrollment ug hangtud sa pagbayad! Kuwang duha ka adlaw ang kinahanglanun. Karon, clicks away ra. ;D

IT SHOULD. Nagpagawas ug memo ang CHED before nga dili saktong dili paexamon ang mga estudiyante nga way final permit. Kahibawo ko ani kay ang ahong classmate, kana bitaw'ng sigeg interviewhon nga student activist, Einstein Recedes, mao nay among university president unja sijay naghikay anang mao nga provision/ memo sa CHED.

Ay, nakalimot ta, mao bitaw ni topic dire. Hehehehe. Way dapat dili paexamon tungod ug dahil ug because of no permit. ;D

i was a victim last Wednesday. i paid my tuition fees worth nearly P18,000, but there was a library fine of P70 that i failed to pay. and that's it. i was kicked out from my classroom. i was already inside the classroom ready to take my final exam. i was so embarrassed.

mosugot ra unta ko islander ug pagawason ko kung wala koy nabayad bisan peso sa akong tuition fee. but the fact nga i paid everything (almost P18,000), i just don't see any justice/fairness in that decision to kick me out from the classroom for a mere P70 Library Fine.

should i write to CHED Manila?

honestly, i don't care about grades. what i care is that justice be served to all poor students.

Today I wrote a letter to our dean. I will wait for his action. HNU College of Law Dean is very compassionate and understanding. He does not make a hell out of exam permit.

I might publish in TubagBohol the letter I sent to our dean. Also, I'm thinking of furnishing all media outlets in Bohol a copy of my letter to the dean.
