The land of the famous Chocolate Hills would be due for another attraction.
Carmen Mayor Conchita "Che" Toribio told the Chronicle that the town will light up some 9,000 lanterns to be hanged along the road as the town envisions to be known as the "Christmas capital of Bohol".
As of yesterday, there were already 5,000 lanterns coming from the various schools and barangays.
The lighting up project started last week with the installation of lights at the town plaza and across the Catholic Church.
The official launching of "Christmas Capital of Bohol" is all set on Wednesday, 6 p.m. with Gov. Edgar Chatto.
