Preparations for the first "Uvida Festival" is in high gear as Carmen town celebrates tomorrow its town fiesta in honor of its patron St. Anthony, the Abbot.
Carmen Mayor Manuel Molina said they want high-paying tourists to stay in their town and not just view the Chocolate Hills.
For so many years, backpacking tourists just come to see the Chocolate Hills. "Nobody really stays long in our town to eat our native delicacies or buy our products," Molina said.
With the help of his municipal tourism officer Thelma Bag-ao, however, conceived the idea of initiating an activity for tourists and guests.
