Screwdriver Powered EX Vehicle
« on: March 11, 2011, 01:32:04 PM »

Who needs a car when you have some old bike parts and an electric screwdriver? Oh right. Everyone. Most people look at that stuff and see a bunch of clutter in their garage, but Nils Ferber sees a new project waiting to happen. Projects like the EX Vehicle, which is made from bicycle parts and an 18-volt electric screwdriver engine. The exposed design shows off the clever mechanisms that make the EX Vehicle run. The design also makes it light weight, allowing it to travel up to 19 mph. While the design obviously took a lot of careful planning, riding headfirst inches above the ground suggest that the creators have a few loose screws—especially considering that they didn’t have time to test drive it before its first race.
