AMSOIL INC. has launched a new warranty that supports snowmobile owners’ freedom to choose their lubricants without fear of voiding their new-snowmobile original equipment manufacturer (OEM) warranty. The AMSOIL Runs on Freedom Snowmobile Warranty covers engine repairs on new-model-year snowmobiles that use AMSOIL INTERCEPTOR Synthetic 2-Stroke Oil exclusively for up to two years or 5,000 miles (8,000 km), whichever comes first.
Snowmobile owners are often led to believe they must use the OEM-recommended oil to preserve their factory warranty. The federal Magnuson Moss Warranty Act protects American consumers’ freedom to choose the brand of parts and lubricants they deem best. It is illegal to tie warranty coverage to whichever brand of parts or lubricants they use unless the OEM provides them free of charge.
Not only is the law on the side of consumers, so is AMSOIL with this new warranty.

The AMSOIL Runs on Freedom Snowmobile Warranty is a no-fault warranty and does not require participants to send oil samples or parts to prove an oil-related failure. Snowmobile owners who wish to file a claim must simply be verified warranty participants who exclusively use AMSOIL INTERCEPTOR Synthetic 2-Stroke Oil.
