US immigration authorities at the Seattle International Airport are being accused of harassing, insulting and eventually deporting a Filipino early this month.
Carina Yonzon Grande, 63, said she went to the US to attend her daughter's wedding.
But immigration officials at the airport allegedly held her claiming she was undocumented and threatened to put her in jail if she refuses to be deported.
She stressed that she had the proper documents to travel to the US and that she had traveled to the US 13 times in the span of two decades. Grande, who also worked for the Asian Development Bank (ADB), has also traveled to Australia, Italy, Hong Kong, Singapore, Austria, Germany, Belgium, Switzerland, Vanautu, Fiji, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, Uzbekistan and Pakistan.
