The Bohol ChronicleThe province of Bohol will have enough supply of rice to go through the coming lean months.
The assurance was given yesterday by Clyde Omictin, new provincial manager of the National Food Authority (NFA) Bohol office.
Omictin formally assumes office today from Nestor Rey Alcoseba, who will be transferred as new NFA manager in Cebu.
The new NFA provincial manager, who held the same post in Siquijor until his assignment here, said the 85-percent rice sufficiency in the province can cope with the local consumption.
He said the coming harvest season will improve the supply here complemented by regular rice shipments from the Cebu NFA rice depot.
