Survey Ratings: DYRD Still No. 1 in Tagbilaran

Bohol Chronicle: Radio Station DYRD, which will mark its 50th year of broadcasting service next year has proven anew its dominance in radio listenership based on the most recent survey conducted by the Holy Name University Research Center last Feb 13 - March 8, 2010.

Its consistently top-rated programs proved anew their supremacy as preference among Boholano radio listeners as compared to the programs of DYTR, to include, the 7 a.m. News (Cooperative Bank and BGY Enterprises), Inyong Alagad, Tagbilaran-By-Nite, Radyo Balita, Patrol Balita and Democracy in Action.
DYRD's noontime newscast (BQ Mall) and its following commentary program "Silab sa Udtong Totok" likewise topped the survey.

The undisputed top rated breakfast news of veteran broadcaster Fred Araneta (now in tandem with Glee Orcullo) got 68% (as against the Ang Kalibutan Karon News) with 32%.          
"Inyong Alagad" anchored by Araneta and Chito Visarra got 77% against "Confrontcy/Kwentas Klaras," 23%.

The morning slots of DYRD were also way ahead with "Radyo Balita" of Ceil Remolador, 57% against "Mas Maayong Buntag" 43% while "Patrol Balita" of Atoy Cosap got 55% against "Barangay Patrol" 45%.

The noontime news and commentary slot of DYRD captured the audience with 82% for BQ Mall Balita of Atoy Cosap and Jojo Ligan and the hard-hitting "Silab" of Nestor Daarol. DYTR Balita sa Kaudtohon and "Sa Mutuo Lang" got 18%. The succeeding commentary program "Litania sa Ala Una" of Bong Bullecer got 63% against "Kasayuran" 37%.

The early evening commentary programs of DYRD, "Democracy in Action and Nangutana Lang" of Bob Galero and Ariel Fullido/Sam Cadinas got 90% against "Pandayan" 10%.

The listenership dominance of dyRD lasted till the capping programs in the evening starting with the Rosary and Bantay Katawhan hosted by Pedy Bolanio, 71% as against "Iglesia ni Kristo program, 29%.
The popular "Tagbilaran-By-Nite" maintained its rating at 65% against Balita Express 35%.
