Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Staten Island and Queens are the five boroughs known collectively as New York City. Each borough has a distinct identity and seeing all five gives visitors a holistic view of the City, as it is familiarly known by residents. With more than 48 million visitors in 2010, all five boroughs welcome travelers to tour the area by foot, by bicycle, on the water or in the air by offering a diverse range of sightseeing opportunities.
Bronx
With a population of 1.3 million residents living in a 44-square-mile borough, the Bronx is well-known as the home of the New York Yankees. Queens
Queens is home to 2.2 million residents and encompasses 112 square miles.
