The Bohol StandardRobbers have become ruthless and of course heartless that even an oxygen tank of a sick girl was taken as a loot.
The teenage girl with a serious heart illness came home on Monday afternoon and discovered her oxygen tank valued around P7, 000 stolen from her locked bed space inside her boarding house Thursday.
To protect the identity of the victim, she is known only by her first name as Joan. She was featured a few months back in this paper STANDARD as a heart patient under the care of one good American samaritan who is residing here in Tagbilaran city.
On Monday morning, Joan had been spending time at BQ Breadbasket and later on when she returned to her boarding house, she noticed that her oxygen tank with respirator was gone.
Roger Long, the American who has been taking care of Joan for over a year now said that he is worried about her rare heart condition as she fights for her life every day with out the use of her oxygen tank As she can no longer breath as easy as before and her lungs are filling up with fluids as each days passes by.
If anyone has purchased an oxygen tank recently in the past week from a private person please make sure it is not the one that has been stolen from Joan.
Please inform the local police office if anyone has any knowledge of the whereabouts of the machine that is so desperately needed by a sick girl.
