Philippines showcases game development sector in CanadaA Philippine delegation has participated in the External Development Summit (XDS) in Canada on 4-12 September to showcase the game-development sector of the country. The delegation was composed of officials of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) and Game Development Association of the Philippines (GDAP). In 2015 the game-development industry generated revenue of USD80.5bn and is expected to reach more than USD100bn by 2022. The delegation participated in business matching mission hoping to attract more customers and outsourcing partners. The Philippines is considered an outsourcing option due to the low cost of labor and the availability of animation and graphic-design platforms.
