PH economist downplays Trump’s BPO threat

Felipe Medalla, a member of Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas Monetary Board, expressed doubt on Trumps protectionist policies negatively affecting the BPO industry in the country. Medalla, a former socio-economic planning secretary, even doubts that Trump can actually push some of his protectionist policies. He also downplayed the border adjustment tax being pushed by Republicans as a way to boost exports. Medalla added a border adjustment tax could cause the appreciation of the dollar, which in turn would make outsourcing more attractive. Analysts earlier said that Trump’s protectionist policies could severely affect the operation of BPO companies in the Philippines.

John 3:16-18 ESV
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son (Jesus Christ), that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.
