Usa ka kusog nga linog ang miigo karon sa Mindanao. Basi sa PHIVOLCS ang epicenter sa maong linog naa dapit sa Carmen, North Cotabato. Magnitude 5.7 ang niregister sa PHIVOLCS (5.6 sa USGS).Ang linog TECTONIC ang origin ug 16 km ang gilawmon mao nga expected ang DAMAGES ug AFTERSHOCKS.

A magnitude 4.3 aftershock has been recorded at 10:40 PM. Although this aftershock is much deeper quake at 43.6 km deep.

yes okay ra mi dire Vince.. Salamat.. Yup nabati namo ang linog kay naghigda higda ko sa salog when quake occured.. siguro mga magnitude 3 to... hadlok pero i keep calm lang.. dugay pod intawn ko katulog kay basin naa aftershock... salamat sa Diyos kay wala..

MANILA â€" Another magnitude 5.7 earthquake hit North Cotabato on Monday morning, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.

Phivolcs said the epicenter of the earthquake was located 17 kilometers northwest of Carmen town at 4:08 a.m.

The following earthquake intensities were felt:

Intensity VI - Carmen (North Cotabato)
Intensity V - Kabacan (North Cotabato)
Intensity IV - Matalam (North Cotabato)
Intensity III - Kidapawan City; Cagayan de Oro City; Davao City; Pres. Roxas, Arakan, Magpet and Makilala (North Cotabato)
Intensity I - Butuan City
Phivolcs describes Intensity VI as "very strong." Under this category, "some people lose their balance. Motorists feel like driving in flat tires. Heavy objects or furniture move or may be shifted. Small church bells may ring. Wall plaster may crack.

"Very old or poorly built houses and man-made structures are slightly damaged though well-built structures are not affected. Limited rockfalls and rolling boulders occur in hilly to mountainous areas and escarpments. Trees are noticeably shaken."

The quake was tectonic in origin. It had a depth of 3 kilometers.

Phivolcs said aftershocks and damage are expected.

Last Saturday, a similar 5.7-magnitude earthquake shook Carmen, North Cotabato, leaving at least 8 wounded and several houses damaged.

Phivolcs Executive Director Renato Solidum said at least 80 aftershocks have occurred since the quake hit the province.

Usa na pud ka magnitude 5.7 nga linog ang nasinati diha sa may Carment, North Cotabato. Ambot ug unsa nay tawag ani kung aftershock pa ba guihapon nga pareho naman kakusgon sa nahiuna.
