A New York man, Ashrita Furman has entered the record books for holding the most world records! The 54 year old simultaneously held 100 world records including somersaulting over 12 miles and 1170 feet, completing 27,000 star jumps and eating 40 M&M’s with chopsticks in one minute.
My Furman’s record breaking started over 30 years ago and he has broken a staggering 236 world records in that time, but entered the record books holding 100 records. Two of Mr Furman’s records have since been broken, so he only holds 98, but that is far from being broken.
He told press, “The next nearest is about 20 records so even when some of mine are broken, the record is pretty safeâ€.
Adding that, “It’s not about beating anyone or my ego. It’s about proving to people that there are no limits to what we can doâ€.
