By Bohol Sunday PostThe Tagbilaran police scored hard against suspected lawbreakers when they arrested two youths for possession of illegal drugs and two more on suspicion of involvement in criminal activities.
Elements of the Tagbilaran PNP station collared the two youths inside an abandoned house in Purol 4, Dao district about 9 pm last April 8.
The two were identified as Leo Ararao, 26, single and one Louie Danisan, 18, both residents of Barangay Danao, Panglao town.
Initial investigation revealed that the Tagbilaran PNP received reports from concerned residents about suspicious characters inside an abandoned house in the said place.
Responding policemen who rushed to the scene after receiving the tip chanced upon the two with Ararao in the act of throwing six packets of suspected shabu, another pack containing suspected shabu residue and shabu paraphernalia.
Ararao is now facing charges of violating Republic Act 9165 while Danisan was temporarily freed since there is no proof of his involvement. He claimed that he merely delivered food to Ararao who is his cousin.
A day earlier, two youths were nabbed on suspicion that they were involved in a hold-up along Ma. Clara street .
PO1 Silvan Palacio, Tagbilaran PNP crime investigator, said a minor suspect yielded a .45 caliber pistol. His companion identified as Ian de la Cruz, 18.
Both gave their address as Capitol Site, Cogon, Tagbilaran.
Palacio said the two are members of the Crips gang, one of the notorious juvenile gangs in the city.
He revealed that a case has been filed against de la Cruz while the minor has been placed under the custody of the Department of Social Welfare and Development.
Elements of the Tagbilaran PNP arrested the two at the Capitol Site area while responding to an alarm from siblings Cresvie and Vilma Caresosa, natives of Dagohoy town.
The two were divested of P3,000 and a Nokia 1600 cellular phone.
One of the victims even sustained injuries in the face after one of the suspects slammed a pistol on her when she tried to resist.
