Fiel,

Thank you for your efforts in getting this info. We'll do our best so we can send donation to the family of the slain guard.

Again, thank you, Fiel. I understand your situation. I know how it feels when you are in government fence.

Dear Fiel,

I look forward to knowing the bank details of the security guard’s wife.

Moreover, since I am one of the BOD in a Boholano Cooperative in KSA (BOWACCC), I will try to solicit some amount from our group and from some Boholanos that I knew. It is part of our cooperative’s policy to interact and involve itself for the good of the community. Last time, BOWACCC donated some amount taken from our education fund, to the victims of the Casava Poisoning in Mabini last 2005 if I’m not mistaken. I think it was our very own “Mike Ligalig” who made the write-up of that report to the Bohol Chronicle. I will bring this matter to Mr. Jun Ayag being our Vice-Chairman of BOWACCC and member of Tubag Bohol community. Fiel, akong sultihan pod si Re-an Monton Real (Imong Kumare ug ako pong kumare) to spread the word, they have their own group also of Boholanos.

Such heroic act from the slain Security Guard must be recognized / honored by any means. All of us are affected by this crisis and all of us are potential victims of such heinous act. I have children of such age and I can imagine how painful it is for the kids to loose a father and a breadwinner of the family.

At that very moment, he did not only brings honor to his family but he protects all of us (potential victims). He is our hero.

How about members from USA,     Anyone? How about “Unic”.

Hope everyone will share a portion of his/her heart to the Kids of the Security Guard.

Note to Mike: Appreciate if somebody could post the picture of the Security Guard and his Kids as I am planning to make a poster and a cover for the donation can. A picture could help draw affection than only words. Mike I am targeting their weakest point "emotion".

I am trying to understand. Are you saying that some in the police knew what was going on with the robberies and did not do anything?
YES THEY KNOW, IN FACT, THE AUTHORITIES ALREADY INFORMED SOME OF THE BANK MANAGERS THAT THERE WILL BE A ROBBERY 2 DAYS BEFORE THIS HAPPENED. SO, WHAT DU THINK? NGANONG WA MAN NILA DAKPI DAAN ANG MGA TULISAN, BEFORE THEY COULD LAUNCH THE ROBBERY. ARON DILI N UNTA MAPUSILAN ANG INTAWNG GUARDYA.

I have a PayPal account. Donors can transfer funds to this PayPal account and I will forward the total donation to the Philippines.

Dong Mike!  Unsa man ang imong Paypal Email nga mapadad-an sa hinabang? Paypal because it will not cost anything on the part of the donors to send the money ...

Besides ... kon ija-ija, aho-aho ang style in sending the monies ... the impact would not be as greatly felt ... tingali ...

Palihug na lang ko ug post pod, which email address to send the money?

My main concern is the kids' continued education, as much as possible.  The bank might take care of the immediate burial needs, you see!  It is the after-the-funeral scenario I am worried about ... plain housewife ra ba ang widow ...

I'm sorry but this reasoning is wrong and should be corrected:

First, who sent the text message warning? Did the texter identify himself/herself? If he/she did, then we can blame the police for not acting and extract more information from him/her. But if not, it is not fair to besmirch further the reputation of the PNP.

Second, granting it was the police who informed the banks on the text tip they received, they can only do so much -- to warn -- because they have no information at that time who will carry out the robbery. This does not mean the PNP was remiss of their duties.

Third, knowing that a robbery will happen does not necessarily follow the police knows who will do it, or where the robbers were at the moment, or which bank is the target.

Nan, karon Mga Sano Ug Sana ... naa ba intawon tay matabang sa namatay nga guard?  Intawon pod ug gagmay pa ang anak sa namatay?  Will it be possible to maybe raise money gikan dinhe sa Tubag Bohol for the family of the late guard?

Pananglitan may mohatag ug gamay nga amount, kinsa bay maka facilitate nga makaabot intawon ang kuarta sa pamilya ng pobreng guardia nga namatay?

Come on!  Let's do something ... BESIDES always moaning about how our beloved BOHOL's peaceful situation had drastically deteriorated of late!!!

Some kind of Trust fund or Scholarship fund for the late guard's kids kon duna man galing to siya mga anak? ... o tabang ba kaha sa mga ginikanan nga nag-ugod ugod na tingali?

Paypal is already available in the Philippines, I have heard ... Mike, can we be able to send money to you, for you to forward to the said late guard's family?  Or kang Inday Fiel na lang kaha i-c/o?  Or can anyone find out the late guard's exact address aron makapamalihug ko paadto ...

Te Belle, I suggest you send it directly to the Philippines. Though I have a Paypal account, I would still have to transfer the money to the Philippines and this will be costly (read: Western Union).

Fiel has declined to handle this matter. We're scouting for a volunteer who is willing to handle the donated funds.

Yeah, just like what Franklin said, stop peddling gossips or intrigues and tell us facts.

So you know who are the drug pushers in Tagbilaran. Then do your civic duty and report it to the proper authorities. If you don't trust the authorities, report it to Mr. Administrator.

Whether or not I'm a cop, it does not erase the fact that your logic is flawed. Ha ha.

I have past exsperience with being a foriegn founder of helping the local reservist camp build it headquarters here in dao district this city.
I am an American residing here in Tagbilaran I would be willing to let persons depost into my account as I can acess my account over the phone and via ATM machine here.
I am a very real and honest person but as fiel mentioned earlier there are persons out there that would cause problems just for some one to help out.
Well you know mentality here is often not so keen and I do understand what she is referring to as crab mentality from her fellow Philippine persons here.
Its even hard to do nice gestures anymore do to the bad thinking of other's.
Fiel or I would be trustworthy as we are very much into doing things that are healthy to the community, and we are sweet friends towards one another.
My bank is Bank of America. It would be hard unless some one could work something out with western union for the wife?
Why was the guard at UNTOP not treated in the same way when he was killed? Did he ot have a family also?

These past few weeks, though, ning-linaw-linaw na man pud gamay.  Let's pray that such crimes don't break out again in Bohol.  (Although it should be noted that the number of unsolved crimes is still somewhat high.)  Poverty is often made a reason for committing crimes but let's not come to a point where we accept it as a justification.

Sigbin, it is human greed not poverty. They are a bunch of cowards, afraid to face life's reality. They want the short-cut method and afraid to endure hardship. They are mentally lazy.

Like the Emperor of the dark side, I know they will strike back. I can feel thier anger.
