President Duterte assures Bicolanos VP Robredo will stay in her post
By Connie B. Destura

DARAGA, Albay, Dec. 8 (PNA) -- President Rodrigo R. Duterte on Thursday assured the Bicolanos that Vice President Leni Robredo will stay in her post, dismissing speculations that there are moves to unseat her after the camp of Senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos filed a protest with the Presidential Electoral Tribunal asking for a recount in areas where he allegedly got zero votes.

The President made the assurance in an ambush interview on Thursday after gracing the groundbreaking ceremony for the long-delayed P4.8-billion Bicol International Airport (BIA) project in Barangay Alobo in Daraga town in Albay.

Also on Thursday, he was in Albay to attend the seventh founding anniversary of the Federalismo Alyansa ng Bicol (FAB) at the Legazpi City Convention Center. Regional convenor of FAB is Dante LA. Jimenez.

“I will assure Leni and the people of the Bicol region that they will have her until the very end of her term.”

Mr. Duterte, when asked to comment on Robredo’s statement about alleged moves to remove her by some political forces close to Duterte, strongly declared “there is no such thing as removing the Vice President as she has done nothing wrong.”

President Duterte assured the Bicolanos that Leni Robredo will remain as Vice President of the Philippines.

In July, Duterte made a phone call to Robredo to head the Housing and Urban Development Coordinating Council but early this week, Cabinet Secretary Jun Evasco Jr. told the Vice President that the President wanted her to "desist from attending all Cabinet meetings starting Monday, December 5.” (PNA)

John 3:16-18 ESV
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son (Jesus Christ), that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.
