The dreaded mosquito bite driven disease, dengue fever has taken another toll as rainy days are back.
Jhan Anthony Mejea, 4, of barangay Desamparados, Calape town was the second fatality of the killer disease for this year.
Reports from the Gov Celestino Gallares Regional Hospital bared that three other dengue victims were admitted few days ago. The victims are residents of Loon, San Miguel and Talibon.
Based on the addresses of the victims, it indicates that the disease has spread provincewide in terms of its contamination in the barrios.
Reports said that there are already 160 cases of dengeu fever since January this year while the number contnues to rise.
Prov'l health officer Reymoises Cabagnot issued an advisory to health workers to encourage every home to do regular cleaning in order to eliminate the breeding places of dengue carrying mosquito, Aedes Aygypti.
The first fatality this year was a two-year old boy of Poblacion, Tubigon town identified asJulian Amad. He died in a hospital last July 10.
