Precy,

I am planning to put a para-gliding rental business in Chocolate hills someday. Or a stationary hot air baloon. This is more dangerous than the leaps.

Wow! I love that idea of a stationary hot air balloon. People could ride the balloon and see the hills from a bird's eye view. New angle, new perspective, new way of seeing old things.  Rock on, Daddy Mack!

Chocolate hills was discovered by an American fighter plane pilot during world war II, which gives me obsession how it looks up there (bird's eyeview).

I am eyeing on hot-air baloon clubs on the net and try asking charity. Maybe they could spare for us/donate some un-used ones. If this happens, we will paint the hot-air baloon with "Tubag Bohol".

I asked Ginger the cost of the para-gliding equipment as I am planning to buy one and replicate it's components locally. She said it is outrageously too expensive. Anyhow, I will try to ask our Chinese suppliers in Guangzhou if they are producing.

I am very pleased of the private sector's interest, such as the members of this forum, to help develop the potentials of the Chocolate Hills. The truth is, I have heard comments that the Chocolate Hills is just a 30-minute thrill. I am very delighted when one of the outputs of the team of provincial government employees whom we sent to Australia for a 1 week training on economic enterprise came up with a business plan for the Chocolate Hills entitled, "A Thousand Thrills for the Chocolate Hills".

Please encourage everyone and help us campaign for the Chocolate Hills to make it to the New 7 Wonders of Nature.

Thanks Sir Rico,

Chocolate hills is in fact the climax of the tourism Adventure. There must be a focused theme on the package, where the Chocolate Hills is spotlighted as the final destination and the river cruise + beaches are just bonus attractions.

Tourists must have the same feeling of climbing at Mount Everest where the culmination is in its highest land mass.

How to do this? I suggest putting facilities at the site where tourists could stay/sleep overnight. Another is utilizing the night like Loboc boulevard by night. There must also be a “Chocolate hills by night”.

Private sector involvement will help materialize this concept. My idea of a hot-air balloon is one. Hope I could come up with something from my web solicitation (from hot air balloon clubs).

Regarding Chocolate hills voting, I made a campaign thread at an OFW site called Worldwide Filipino Alliance : http://worldwidefilipinoalliance.ning.com/

7 wonders campaign is already a great leverage and in itself an advertisement.
