Bossnapping in France
« on: April 27, 2009, 12:59:26 AM »
A big debate is going on in Germany about the economic crises, but France is way ahead.  They simply put their empowerless bosses as hostage for a number of hours.Colline Colboc and  Marcus Kerriou are the youngest victims, they spent 26 hours  (CEO and Personal head respectively) , in their office.  They are the head of a wiring company who is planning to close their plants which means losing 300 jobs in this small town of France. Colline said it is so humiliating to face the glaring cameras of the journalists and asks for permission to go to the toilet.
The drama is simple but the result is effective, the employees take their chief as responsible for mismanagement  and the misery of their situation.

Marcus Kerriou, co-director of Molex Automotive, a subsidiary of the American company Molex, whilst being held for a second day Tuesday April 21, 2009 in Villemur sur Tarn, southwestern France, by some 50 workers protesting plans to close their plant. Molex Automotive announced in October plans to close the plant and relocate its work to China and the U.S. Some 300 workers are to lose their jobs when the plant, which manufactures electrical connectors, ends production June 30. www.daylife.com
