The Bohol Poverty Reduction and Management Office (BPRMO) intends to explore global market for the produce of its farmer-beneficiaries by starting it out with international food industry professionals at the upcoming SIAL 2008.

BPRMO Head Antonieto Pernia will be meeting international traders in the peanut industry during the upcoming SIAL 2008, the North American Food Marketplace and "the world's leading food industry show" in Montreal, Canada.

As SIAL 2008 organizers claim, the event expects over 140,000 visitors and 5,300 exhibitors that will gather together in one event, the food industry professionals in the world- -food manufacturers, distributors, importers, retailers and wholesalers, institutional and commercial catering.

Pernia said he would be bringing samples of processed peanut products and exotic foods from Bohol that he would show to international processed food traders during the event.

I actually like the crackling kisses, for me they are yummy remind me of peanut butter cookies shaped into a kiss.

Thank you for this news, Mike!  I am dreaming right now of the yummy smell of our peanuts especially the ones sold in the street near BQ, if that is still there.  Here, I always go to the Filipino stores to buy peanuts because our peanuts always taste.

yes grazie they still sell the yummy fried up peanuts cooked in oiland galic with salt, or the candied coated ones which are my favorite.

Temura is the hot item on a stick now to eat.

When will you be coming back to Bohol?

Hope to meet you soon girl! :)

I prefer those salted red peanuts, Precious!  Oh, I can't resist those peanuts especially those smaller variety.  I haven't heard of Temura.  I know tempura but never imagined one being on a stick!

I won't be there until about a couple of years and I hope to meet you when I'm there pohon! :)
