Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas Honors its Stakeholders in Region IV

Monetary Board Member Peter B. Favila and Deputy Governor Chuchi G. Fonacier led the awards ceremony for the stakeholders of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) in Region IV during the annual awards and appreciation ceremony held at the Joya Pavillion, Hotel Kimberly Tagaytay on 14 September 2018.

Drapery Hardware, Inc. was the recipient of the Outstanding Respondent among Large and Medium Firms, while Senju Solder (Phils.), Inc., was recognized as the Outstanding Respondent among Small Firms for the Business Expectation Survey (BES). Meanwhile, Acbel Polytech Philippines, Inc. received the award for Outstanding Respondent for the Cross Border Transaction Survey. The National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) - CALABARZON and NEDA-MIMAROPA received the awards for Outstanding Partners for the Report on the Regional Economic Developments. The Outstanding Partner for the Financial Learning Campaign was conferred to the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) - Regional Welfare Office IV - B. The Outstanding Financial Inclusion Champion award was given to CARD Bank, Inc. The Asset Disposal Partner of the Year was granted to Mr. Larry D. Tabay. The Outstanding Regional Partners in Currency Programs of the BSP were awarded to the following: Department of Education (DepEd)-Cavite Division for Clean Note Policy; Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) - CALABARZON for Coin Recirculation; and Quezon Provincial Cooperative Development Office for the Demonetization of the New Design Series. The Outstanding Regional Partner for Implementing BSP Advocacy on the Conduct of Public Information Campaigns was granted to the Provincial Government of Palawan. Lastly, Acbel Polytech Philippines, Inc., PSA - CALABARZON and Provincial Government of Palawan were the recipients of the Gold Hall of Fame awards, after winning in the same award category for three (3) consecutive years. Each awardee was presented the "Dynamic Balance, Philippine Eagle" trophy, while the Gold Hall of Fame awardees received the "Soaring to Greater Heights" trophy, both of which were crafted by visual artist and multi-awarded sculptor, Mr. Ferdinand Cacnio.

This event embodies the successful alliances that have helped the BSP with the attainment of its mandate. Stakeholders of the BSP in the National Capital Region were earlier recognized during the awards ceremony at the BSP Main Complex, Manila on 10 July 2018. The annual stakeholders' awards in Region IV marked the ninth (9th) in a series of 12 regional stakeholders' events for this year.
