4th suspect in foiled US embassy bombing arrested
By Perfecto T. Raymundo

MANILA, Dec. 8 (PNA) -- The Philippine National Police (PNP) has arrested the fourth suspect in the attempted bombing in Baywalk, Roxas Boulevard near the United States Embassy last Nov. 28.

In a press conference in Camp Crame, Quezon City on Thursday, PNP chief Director General Ronald "Bato" Dela Rosa said the fourth suspect was arrested in Zambales yesterday (Wednesday).

However, the suspect was not presented to the media during the press conference as the operation is still ongoing for the capture of the fifth suspect.

"Waiting for further instructions pa sila (suspects) sa kanilang boss (from their boss) reason for not divulging details on the person of interest," Dela Rosa said.

The PNP chief said the person of interest is a suspect, but there's still ongoing operation, noting that, their other accomplice is being pursued.

He said the said suspect has already went home but "we have our own way of locating them."

Meanwhile, the PNP chief, together with National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) chief Director Oscar Albayalde and Manila Police District (MPD) Director Senior Supt. Joel Coronel, presented to the media the recovered complete improvised explosive device (IED) from the captive suspects consisting of unexploded shell of a 105mm howitzer cannon using a cellphone as a triggering device.

Dela Rosa noted that such bombs are from the military unexploded ordnance, which are either used in Mindanao or fired by the troops using the 105mm howitzer cannon but did not explode, taken and recovered by enemies of the State.

He suspects there could have been a pilferage in the supply of the military, but that remains to be proven.

"Definitely these are unexploded ordnance. It can kill around 300 people. Basta 70 to 80 meters yung kanyang casualty radius, within 80 meters doon sa seat of explosion, patay ka pa rin (Casualty radius is 70 to 80 meters from the seat of explosive device, you'll still be killed)," Dela Rosa said. John 3:16-18 ESV
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son (Jesus Christ), that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.
